Back Bay is the shopping, dining, cultural and nightlife destination in the heart of Boston. Newbury Street in the Back Bay ranks as one of the premiere shopping streets in the entire country. It is a community that encompasses fashion, art, specialty boutiques, dining, and so much more. Residential streets such as Beacon St, Marlborough St. and Commonwealth Ave. are lined with charming, quintessential New England brownstones. Due to its central and desirable location, street parking is often difficult. The MBTA Green line and several bus lines run through the Back Bay. It is an easy (and delightful) walk to other neighborhoods in Boston. Many young professionals choose to live in the Back Bay. There are also some students as several colleges are in the area. Rents are pricey and you do sacrafice on space, but it is not impossible to find apartments that are in the budget.
